Add to Calendar »map »link »info »

Alive & Running is an uplifting, life-affirming event that remembers loved ones lost to suicide while raising funds and awareness for the Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center, a nonprofit based in Los Angeles. Director Dennis Dugan will emcee. We will have live music, Taiko drums, a Health EXPO, balloon artists, face painters, giveaways and a special guest-led pre-race warm-up.

The 20th annual event supports the Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center, the first in the nation and a renowned leader in training, research and services for people who have thought about, attempted or lost someone to suicide.

Our crisis counselors answered over 100,000 calls, chats and texts last year and is one of two in the nation with Spanish-speaking crisis counselors 24/7. It is also one of only three that answers calls on the National Disaster Distress Helpline.

We have therapy and support groups for people who have attempted or are bereaved by suicide. We educated over 16,000 students, teachers, law enforcement officials, FBI agents and mental health professionals how to recognize and respond to warning signs. To register or donate, go to aliveandrunning.org.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Run

We are the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association Chapter 33-3.
CVMA Chapter 33-3 is a California nonprofit corporation in the process of applying for 501c3 status. We expect to have a decision by the end of July 2018.
On December 1, 2018 we will be hosting our 4th annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Run, starting and finishing at Los Angeles Harley Davidson of Anaheim. All the funds we raise go to helping Veterans. Some of the things we do are host barbecues at the US Vets facility in Moreno Valley, which is home to over 100 homeless veterans. We also visit and give care packages to the veterans living at the West Los Angeles VA Hospital living facility.
We are also in the process of taking donated medical supplies such as hospital beds, electric wheelchairs and others.

Our mission is Vets helping Vets. We are asking for your help to promote this great event. Over the past 3 years we have gotten 80 to 100 bikes to come our and support. With your help I know we can double or triple that number and make the run a fun and joyful way for our participants to show support for all Veterans.

I would like to thank you in advance for any support.
