Tonya started her radio career at the age of 14 at a small AM station in Visalia, California. Within five years she was the evening host at KFYE-FM (Y-94) in Fresno. She followed that with jobs at KBOS/Fresno, KSDO-FM (KS103) / San Diego. She came to Los Angeles in 1987 and worked for the Transtar Radio Network. After four years with CBS and a couple at Unistar Radio Network, she landed the mid-day shift at KZLA in 1994. In 2000, she was promoted to music director and in 2002 added the title of assistant program director. After KZLA changed their format in 2006, Tonya worked for Lofton Creek Records before coming to Go Country 105 where she is now the Program Director.
