ABOUT AARON LINES
Aaron Lines is from Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. He's the youngest of four children of a schoolteacher and the town's first dentist. He says Fort McMurray was a great place to grow up, but he always dreamed of playing music.
When he was 12 years old, the shy, soft-spoken young man who "never got in trouble" told his mother that he would like to learn to play guitar. The idea came out of the blue. "Well, no one in my family was particularly musical, I don't remember my parents even playing records. When I asked about guitar, [my mother] actually found an old acoustic one that my dad had and signed me up right away for lessons. I started singing right from the start, just to sing along with what I was practicing."
Barely ten years later, Lines music career lead him to Nashville, Tenn. and RCA Records, the legendary label that signed him to his first recording contract in May 2001. He released his debut album Love Changes Everything that same year.
Moments That Matter, Lines latest CD, is all about family. It makes sense considering the sole reason he moved back to Canada from Nashville was to be closer to his family. “Moving home to Alberta was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This CD really reflects that happiness in me. Being closer to family really made me write from a different perspective. I hope people enjoy the songs and it makes them think about the real moments that matter in their lives.”
Lines has toured with Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts on the Neon Circus Tour
Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Leann Rimes, Phil Vassar, and Paul Brandt.
Lines is currently working on his fifth album due out fall of 2009.
